Look At What Your Neighbors Are Framing

My son & I traveled to China & Tibet on a 23 day pilgrimage this summer as his graduation gift from college.  This particular piece of art was in a little store in Lhasa Tibet in the Barkor (market place) that was owned by 2 sisters, one who was a Tibetan nun.  It was painted by a local artist who had many pieces literally tacked to the wall with push pins.  This piece drew my attention for several reasons.  The main symbol, the star, which for me being Jewish represents a Jewish star, (though not in Tibet) was just a means to illustrate the prayer for compassion.  Oh Ma Ni Pad Me Hum around the 6 points which is the watchword of the Buddhist religion.  I found it a beautiful way to combine my love of my Jewish faith and of the Buddhist religion in one.

Working with Michele &  Maureen was wonderful.  They understood my need to frame this beautiful piece of art with an incredible frame but not to take anything away from the detail of the art.

When in Rome, a "must go to" area is called Trastevere.  Trestevere comes alive at night when the artsy stores open & restaurants are at their best.  Taverna di Merchanti is where the locals eat & the fortunate tourist happens upon it.  My husband & I took a menu after enjoying a great meal & knew we had to have Orchard Lake Framing & Gallery frame it for display in our Kitchen.

This is an original watecolor by Olga Alexandrova.  Since I am a flamenco guitarist (in my spare time) I fell in love with her work.  Orchard Lake Framing & Gallery did a magnificent job in guiding me to the proper framing and spectacular design.  They have the highest quality and extremely artistic skills!

We wanted a new look for an old piece of art that John's mother created.  We chose Orchard Lake Framing & Gallery because this piece means a lot to us and we needed an expert we could trust.

I love the mirror frame that Maureen, and the rest of the gang at OLFG, made for my new bathroom.  It was just what I was looking for to open up the bathroom.  They were able to do it in the amount of time that I needed to finish everything off. I am getting so many compliments from my friends and family.

I just returned from a trip to the Cayman Islands and wanted to frame this map to put in my room.  The frame Maureen & Michele picked out looks just like the inside of a shell!  The project turned out beautifully!

I have been cycling for years and thought it would be fun to frame my colorful race jerseys, these are my five favorite.  I am waiting for this year's race to frame my next five.

Thanks Orchard Lake for making them look so cool!
